Born and raised in Raleigh, Kate has always had a deep connection with North Carolina. While in college, Kate won the title of Miss North Carolina and represented her state in the Miss USA Pageant. After earning a Bachelor’s degree at Clemson, she began her real estate career as a third generation Raleigh Real Estate Agent. Kate’s dedication and determination earned her the Rookie of the Year award in her first year in business and she has won countless awards ever since during her 36 years of selling real estate.

Kate joined Compass in December of 2021. She is the owner / team leader of The Kate Kenney Team. Kate is very proud to one of only 130 members throughout the country in the Compass Sports and Entertainment division. S&E is a national network of vetted specialists dedicated to serving exclusive clientele with personalized attention, marketing and tech prowess, market expertise, and total discretion.

Real estate runs in the Kenney’s bloodline, dating all the way back to the early 1900s. Her grandfather, Henry Faucette started the family tradition and was one of the founding members and President of the Raleigh Board of Realtors®. Kate’s son, Cole has continued the family’s legacy is a 4th generation Real Estate Agent, working in Commercial Real Estate. Her son, Connor is a Business Development and Sales Representative for a technology firm. Kate has one grandson, Henry who may go on to become a 5th generation Raleigh Realtor® and carry on the family tradition, but only time will tell!

Kate is always looking for ways to make her clients' real estate transactions as easy and successful as possible. She truly cares about making sure her clients are pleased with her work and she has a history of going the extra mile. Kate especially loves how her clients become her friends!
